There are extensive comments inserted in the text of the documents. These notes and tips explain particular clauses, suggest how to modify them for different types of industries and companies, and highlight differences between ISO 9000:2000 and ISO 9000:1994. As you enter your company-specific data, these notes are placed in context with the document and walk you through the information that needs to be incorporated for your manual to pass the audit.
Once you open the files, you will work in your own word processor and will not depend on any other software for developing and maintaining the documentation. The MS Word files can be opened with any version of Microsoft Word from 6.0 and above, on any version of Windows and Windows NT. The ISO toolbar added to your Microsoft Word toolbars makes it easy to open and edit each document without manipulating between two programs.
The ASCII files can be opened in any word processor on DOS, Windows and Macintosh computers (ASCII files are not included in the standard software, but you can get them from AQA Press for no additional charge).
